Kicks off: June 24th at 5:30pm EST
Each month we will provide free professional learning on STEM topics of interest to you! June 24th: Integrating the Data Cycle into your instruction.
Data Science Summit
June 22-23 at George Mason University
Free to attend: Grades 7–12 mathematics, science, and computer science teachers; instructional coaches; division specialists; and university faculty who support or plan to teach the Virginia Data Science high school course, as well as educators focused on data literacy and mathematical modeling. Free registration, breakfast and lunch both days, polo shirt, and resources.
Virginia Council of Teachers of Mathematics Conference
June 25 - June 27 at Virginia State University
This conference is designed to inspire educators and leaders to rethink mathematics education through innovation, equity, and student-centered learning. Featuring keynote speakers Dr. Toya Jones Frank and James O’Neal Jr., the event brings together nationally recognized voices in mathematics education, equity, and instructional leadership.
Summer STEM Opportunities
All summer long at the Southwest Virginia High Education Center
Students and families in Southwest Virginia are encouraged to explore the outstanding summer STEM opportunities offered through the SWHEC. Working alongside a network of education, workforce, and community partners, they provides engaging camp experiences that connect STEM learning to real-world careers and future pathways.
CodeVA Summer Events
All summer long in-person, virtual, and asynchronous
CodeVA is offering a variety of professional learning opportunities for educators throughout the summer. Their mission is to empower educators and all individuals who work with students to confidently integrate and teach computer science, helping expand access to high-quality computer science education for every learner.
Southwest Virginian Can Code
June summer camps
Rising 5th–12th grade students will have the opportunity to explore coding, web development, and app design while working on projects that address real-world challenges in their communities. These engaging, hands-on experiences help students build technology skills, creativity, and confidence while discovering the power of innovation.

Agriculture in the Classroom

A summer professional development series offering educators interactive workshops across Virginia that highlight how agriculture and natural resources can be integrated into core classroom learning. With both in-person and virtual opportunities, the series provides engaging lessons, resources, and hands-on experiences for teachers of all grade levels.
